About Us

CCF is an acronym for Children for Children's Future. It is a non-governmental, not for profit organization registered under the Societies Ordinance laws of Tanzania. Our SO Number is 8203.

Helping get the children who have been orphaned or discarded off the streets is a civil society responsibility. Due to the high number of deaths of middle-aged adults from HIV/AIDS, and the extreme poverty many of these families face, the numbers of children that have been forced to leave home and school for a life on the streets is increasing at an alarming rate.

We have two facilities. There is a 44 bed drop in centre in Arusha town that can house children on a temprary basis for up to 4 months. We set an age limit for these children of 5 to 12 years old. They receive medical care and education and are there of their own choosing and may leave at any time.

Children with no traceable family ties seeking longer residence are then transferred to the Tupendane Centre. Located about 25 kilometres from Arusha in Maji ya Chai, the centre has a capacity of 80 children and offers a more extensive education and vocational school as well as sports, gardening, crafts and arts programmes.
